You’re Not ‘Back at Square One’. Relax.

You’ve done the work. Engaged in training, reflection, belief-building and courageous conversations. You’ve unearthed something powerful beneath the layers of self-doubt.
You’ve experienced a shift, claimed your space, and found your voice.
But then something happens.
You lose your confidence. You falter. A project doesn’t go as well as you anticipated.
It’s easy at that point to retreat into your shell and decide you’re a failure.
That the success you had was just an illusion.
And to become your harshest judge, jury and critic.
But hold on. You’re not a failure.
This is a blip.
There’s a lot of learning in those blips.
I felt judgment, self-criticism, and fear when COVID hit. My thriving business hit a wall as all my face-to-face work stopped suddenly. No work = no income.
But once I’d cried and ranted at the unfairness in the world and moved beyond my shame, I decided to pick myself up and start an online programme. And I’ve never looked back.
My so-called ‘failure’ became one of my biggest successes. But more importantly, it creates more joy for me than I could ever imagine!
To your success always – and to the blips that help us get there!
