A lot can happen in a week
A lot happens in one week. Huge shifts happen in four.
A few weeks ago, I started my eight-week Power House programme for busy, experienced and high-achieving women leaders.
They’ve all done the leadership training.
They’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts.
They neither want nor need soundbites or platitudes or theory that doesn’t translate into their day-to-day lives.
They don’t want to ‘learn more stuff’- they want to own their power and authority and have a greater impact with the work they do.
And just one week in? Things started to shift.
Examples:
They disrupt with elegance – and with one simple question – the meeting that has been torturous and hostile forever, turning it into something focused, productive and collaborative.
When you’re the person who knows how to deal with the elephants in the room, that’s powerful.
They realise that yes, they are inspiring when they focus on being seen and not letting fear of seeming ‘arrogant’ dim their light.
When you’re the person who ups her levels of self-trust, that’s powerful. It builds confidence from your core with no ‘fake it till you make it’ nonsense.
They realise that one of the stories they’ve been telling themselves actually has no basis in fact – and we have proof!
Liberation from old stories is powerful. Changing how we see ourselves is powerful.
The hours saved in this first week alone – by saying no, being bolder, delegating more and setting boundaries – is going to add up to a lot of hours saved – not just for the eight weeks we’re together but in the long term.
Hours saved so they can focus on what only they can do.
And time is money.
When we decide who we want to become, we become her. Not by parroting fluffy affirmations all day long but by making the choice and doing the thing. And then doing the thing again. Even when it’s hard (especially when it’s hard.)
These ladies of light (iykyk) have only just begun.
Watch them rise.
P.S. If this is what one week can do, imagine what four can achieve. Fast Track starts soon – and yes, things really do shift that quickly when you stop waiting for the perfect moment.
