'I have been able to achieve a number of personal and professional goals during the coaching period. Lynn’s greatest strength is her profound ability to provide those ‘light-bulb’ moments that other coaches I have worked with have been unable to achieve.'

'My sessions with Lynn helped me to consider, develop and clarify my perception of myself. Lynn was able to get me to focus on key influences in my life in a direct yet non-intrusive way. This is testimony to Lynn’s understanding for the need to, and her ability to, build a genuine relationship. This was key to the successful change that followed and required an investment of Lynn’s time that could easily have been spent focusing on the symptoms.'

'I do hope you know how grateful I am for your support as I feel you helped me a lot in getting me where I am now - your coaching helped re-build my faith in myself and my abilities, and boosted my confidence to apply for a more challenging role. Since then I have been promoted twice and am currently a senior manager in the NHS.'

'I have personally & professionally gained a great deal since commencing coaching with Lynn in the following ways:

I have been able to make the transition from a task focussed manager to strategy & people focussed leader. This has led to greater productivity in terms of my own output and also means that my own direct reports are having to perform at a higher level. My personal confidence & self-esteem have developed as I have realised the value that I offer to my own business, and what that means to business success. I have begun to challenge my own thinking following sessions with Lynn, where she will personally challenge my reactions and opinions, and regularly gets me to see things from a different angle. I am more confident, I can give feedback in a much improved structured, constructive & meaningful manner, I can receive challenge without being defensive, and I can stand my ground in instances where it would have been difficult for me before. I have been able to offer very direct personal feedback to peers and line manager about issues that mattered to me.'

'During my coaching experience with Lynn I learned a great deal about myself and the impact that my personal style and behaviour can have on the work I do. Lynn's approach is based on the highest professional standards built on a foundation of deep understanding of coaching. Her open, honest and encouraging style coupled with the right amount of challenge and some very useful practical experiments made me achieve changes in my personal style and behaviour in ways I hadn’t considered possible before. The benefits of the coaching experience come through in my everyday life in the form of increased effectiveness relating to time allocation & delegation, improved working relationships with colleagues and increased self-awareness. It was a genuine pleasure working with Lynn and I would warmly recommend her to anyone who is seeking to increase their self-awareness and improve personal impact or develop their personal style and communication skills.'

'We have a large group of highly experienced media professionals, all of whom have been developed by Lynn Scott Coaching. Many of them approach the training with uncertainly, some with scepticism, but ALL leave the training encouraged, enthused and, without exception, energised by Lynn’s calm, relaxed and passionate approach.'

'Lynn is an excellent coach trainer. Her training was tremendously effective because it combines four important elements: learning about methods; observing Lynn in a live coaching situation; practising coaching with a fellow trainee and getting really detailed feedback. This was combined with a great sense of the individual needs of every trainee. I can fully recommend this training and have greatly enhanced my coaching skills as a result of attending this workshop.'

The New – Leadership Development Programme

'Lynn has been working with us on a mentoring programme for The New, a leadership development programme run in partnership by Contact, Whitworth Art Gallery, Zion Arts Centre, Chinese Arts Centre and 20 Stories High. Staff at all levels have really enjoyed the training sessions Lynn delivered, and found them invaluable in preparing them for successful mentoring relationships. The training gave them the skills, confidence and knowledge to really get the most out of both working with a mentor and also as a mentor themselves. Lynn is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced coach and trainer, and helped us to structure the whole mentoring programme, from planning through to training delivery and matching mentors and mentees.'

'I have worked with Lynn for the last 4 years during which she has facilitated team coaching and undertaken 1-1 coaching. In all cases her input has been instrumental to the success of the activity itself and to tangible improvement in my team members’ performance. Her highly effective and engaging style has been valued by the participants. I have no hesitation in recommending her services.'

We are much better able to constructively challenge and hold one another to account. Thanks to Lois and Lynn we are now exploring the benefits of coaching across the organisation.'

'I have really enjoyed our sessions together and have found them very useful in shaping my thinking. I was originally unsure about how telephone supervision would work, as my preference would have been face to face, however your questions and observations were just as powerful over the telephone, and I would have no qualms about entering into telephone supervision in the future.'

'Lynn is a wise, supportive and yet challenging supervisor. As a new coach I have learnt a great deal from her. I particularly value her sense of humour and openness, which greatly help the learning process. Lynn is strong on equality and diversity issues, and how an understanding of these underpin a coaching relationship. As a result of my sessions with Lynn, my confidence has improved and I am much bolder in my coaching interventions, demonstrating more often “fearless compassion”. I know I am a significantly better coach than I might have been without Lynn’s supervision.'

'Thank you so much for the really useful and restorative supervision session today. You are a really engaging person and I found it extremely easy to talk to you (as you saw). It helped tremendously to get a number of things off my chest, and has enabled me to gain perspective. I feel much better about the coaching now and am sure that I will be able to give my client the attention he deserves and the coaching experience he is entitled to. Plus, I am clearer about where I have been going astray, which is so helpful.'

Zoe Dawes

Executive Coach

'Lynn works flexibly to adapt to my preferred way of working. Her openness, humility and pragmatism allows me to feel able to share my deepest concerns. Lynn respond to MY needs, whether they are coaching tips or business advice. She covers the whole spectrum. I now have more clarity about MY brand and the most effective way to work profitably. Lynn bring no ego to supervision and provides a blank canvas from which she makes outstanding observations on what’s not being said and on what is not happening. Her relentless search for the truth has undoubtedly moved my psychological coaching practice forward.'

‘I wished to attend this course because I had started a new management role and wanted to learn more about coaching others. I found the sessions really helpful in giving me some background knowledge on coaching. and practical ways to put my learning into practice. Since the event, my confidence with coaching others has grown and I have introduced many ideas into my day to day practice with good outcomes. On a wider scale, I fed back my experience to my workplace and they are looking at the possibility introducing some of the ideas into the workforce review.'
